2019 Living Energy Farm Holiday SOULstice Party

Join us for fun and merriment on December 21st! From 1pm-5:30pm Living Energy Farm will be hosting a holiday party with edible gingerbread house making (which we are calling ginerbread homesteads) for kids of all ages (including the child at heart for you adults, if you want a nice gingerbread house for your home), adult beverages, kid beverages, Holiday Carols, and a special organized visit from the SOULstice Elf! Hosted on our beautiful, completely off-grid property of over 100 acres. Dress warmly! Because it’s a half mile hike from the parking area to the main community house.

The Gingerbread homesteads for the kids will already be pre-baked, but we will be gluing them together and decorating them the day of! To make sure that we have enough supplies, we suggest a $5 donation. This can be made digitally via PayPal to Livingenergyfarm@gmail.com. If you use PayPal, please check to “Friends or Family members”. Cash or check are also accepted if you come for a farm tour or speak with a Living Energy Farm member. We will not turn you away due to cost, so please come if you can make it.

There will be gingerbread treats to eat that will be baked with wheat grown on the Living Energy Farm! We are a certified USDA Organic farm that grows non-GMO, antique, heritage heirloom, open pollinated varieties of wheat.

We will make extra sets of gingerbread homesteads, but we will not guarantee that there will be enough for everyone, and we don’t like generating waste. Let’s keep this event sustainable! Please email livingenergyfarm@gmail.com to reserve your gingerbread homestead for you or your children 🙂

REGISTRATION CLOSED FOR GINGERBREAD HOUSES. YOU CAN COME AND ENJOY THE PARTY WITH ADULT BEVERAGES, THOUGH!

Our gingerbread homestead supplies include:

  • Bars of chocolate for the solar panel installations
  • Dried fruit to use for decorating the home
  • Organic pretzels so we can build firewood stacks to heat up the homesteads
  • Marshmallow water tanks
  • Some “junk food” candies for those that can’t quite part with it yet

Excited yet? Don’t forget about the singing, live piano playing, and community building happening in the Earth Heart building with pine needles boiling on the wood stove. The sweet smell of pine and cinnamon in the air as we have fun little connecting games for adults, and kid mayhem in the kitchen for gingerbread homestead making.

Homemade flat bread made by our resident baker <3 Yumm!

Warm beverages to include:

  • Vegan Chai Tea
  • Egg nog (both adult friendly and kid version)
  • Tea bar for making your own spiced holiday beverage

Before we all part for the evening, and as it gets nice and dark with warm food/beverages in our belly, there will be a simple candle-lit ceremony for us to remember our own light within as this day at this time of year marks when the longest night and shortest day is.

Want to contribute to the party? Feel free to bring your favorite holiday dish, or beverage to share. We shall celebrate this beautiful time of year with the burning of a yule log and a small blessing ceremony to help seal in this night of good cheer.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!!
